Hey there, I’m Kimberly and I’m Thriftily Domestic!

I’m also a business manager assistant, freelance writer and MBA student. I live just minutes outside of Boston with my amazing husband and I enjoy writing every chance I get.

A Little About Me:

I grew up and live in a small, seaside town and I am spoiled in that I can’t imagine what it’s like to wake up and not see (or smell) the ocean. It’s what calms me on a daily basis. My other calming mechanism is being around animals. I’m pretty obsessed.

Since I was a little girl, I’ve always been creative. Whether it was creating fun figure skating routines, writing poetry, making collages for my friends or spending hours writing my very own science fiction stories, I was always creating something. Throughout the years, I’ve made my own clothing, blankets, quilts, home decor, just about everything (I kid you not) for my wedding, stuffed animals, crafts, stationary and more. I also love to cook and bake – insert girlish squeal here because I just recently was blessed with a Kitchen Aid mixer!

After my wedding re-sparked my inner creativity, I decided to do something about it. I decided to share my story, my projects, my recipes, amazing deals and discounts, related anecdotes and inspirational stories. This blog blossomed from that.

My Goal:

Being a brand new bride and stereotypical broke graduate student, I’m well-versed in the art of being thrifty, always on the hunt for new ways to save money. So I’ve chosen to share my love of cooking, baking, sewing, crafting, travel, too-good-to-pass-up deals and DIY projects and tips with the world. I don’t believe in paying full price for anything, and I want to make you a believer too!
